Over 1 million yen in 10,000-yen notes found at garbage facility in Yamanashi
KOFU -- Over 1 million yen in 10,000-yen notes were found Wednesday at a garbage processing facility in Yamanashi Prefecture, police said.
Investigators said a 29-year-old worker at waste transportation and disposal company Suzuken, in Fuefuki, Yamanashi Prefecture, found between about 50 and 100 of the 10,000-yen notes in garbage that was being processed at the company, and phoned police.
All of the notes that were discovered were 10,000-yen notes, and including those that were torn, there were more than 100 in total.
Police are continuing to search for the owner of the cash.
